Our people love it here because we don’t do cookie-cutter work; we work collaboratively on complex, fascinating projects.    Now we’re looking to add an Equipment Manager & Field Technicianto our team to manage our field equipment and support field events. We’re looking for someone who exemplifies our commitment to technical excellence, environmental responsibility, and customer service.   That’s where you come in.    As our new Equipment Manager & Field Technician, your priority will be to support Floyd|Snider engineers, geologists, and scientists in the field to complete project tasks on time. These tasks may include but are not limited to groundwater sampling, soil and sediment sampling, and remedial construction support or oversight. You’ll use your aptitude for mechanical problem-solving to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair field equipment and technical infrastructure at work sites.   This role involves a great deal of collaboration with contractors and vendors, and your ability to provide contractor oversight and organize equipment schedules will help make you successful. Internally, you’ll support your colleagues by managing and responsibly maintaining Floyd|Snider’s field supplies, equipment, tools, and vehicles. You’ll track field events and leverage your organization and communication skills to anticipate project needs.  You can count on growing here, as you work regularly with a diverse range of sites and clients. We’ll be relying on you as a key part of our team to keep the field program running smoothly as you build site knowledge over time. You’ll become adept at finding your place on different interdisciplinary teams, speaking up with your ideas and discovering how you can add your unique contribution to each project you touch.    Beyond your relevant knowledge and expertise, we’re looking for someone with the following qualities:    * Positive attitude – you’re eager to learn how to operate and maintain field instruments and to conduct various kinds of data collection.  * Prioritizes safety – you have experience working in outdoor environments in a variety of weather conditions and understand the importance of avoiding and preventing safety incidents.   * Leadership-mindset– you're organized and strive to lead field department tasks with minimal supervision once trained.  The Details This is a permanent position with an annual salary of between $67.5k - $72.5k. This position should be between 32 and 40 hours per week and mutually determined upon hiring. Project fieldwork and site maintenance will include frequent local travel and periodic travel to sites in the Greater Seattle Area and the Pacific Northwest.  Floyd|Snider provides employees with a flexible work schedule that includes core hours from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. There may be some overtime based on your projects and you’ll get that back in extra time off. You’ll do most work onsite – in the field or our office, but up to 25% of your workload may be completed remotely.  We offer an excellent compensation package, which includes a competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
