IT Project Manager - ITAM/SAM - Remote

Our direct client is looking for an IT Project Manager - ITAM/SAM to join the team.
This is a 6-month contract to start, with the potential to extend and/or convert to full time employment.
 
  
Client Location: Houston TX
Open to Remote will need to come in onsite a few times to start.

The client would prefer a local candidate, if possible.  However remote is an option provided the candidate can be on-site in Houston, TX about 3 – 4 times during the contract for knowledge transfer, process evaluation, tool evaluations, and process improvements etc.

Project

• Evaluate current process and tools and make recommendations for a more advanced solution
• Take current processes and mature them into single point of failure process/architecture
• Assist with ITSM solution down the road

 
Experience

• 5 + years of Project Management experience
• At least 1 project – evaluation and recommendation of tools
• Ideal candidate will have experience with IT Asset Management
• Knowledge and experience with focused on ITAM/SAM
• Understanding of IT Asset Management (vendors, contracts, renewal, licensing, charge back)
• need help with tool evaluations, process improvements etc.

 

• Strong focused on ITAM/SAM  - (SAM is management of software throughout its lifecycle) / ITAM is IT asset management)
