Today, there are more than 6,000 NAPA Auto Parts stores. About 1,000 of them are corporately owned, and Genuine Parts Company is the employer for these locations. However, there are about 5,000 independently owned and operated NAPA Auto Parts stores where individual store owners are the employer. This position is through an independently operated store owned by The Parts Place NAPA.. 

The Parts Place NAPA  is a family owned and operated business providing unsurpassed customer service since 1963. The Parts Place NAPA owns 8 NAPA Auto Parts stores in Mid-Michigan. THE parts Place NAPA offers the largest selection of auto parts and accessories in the area supporting both retail and wholesale customers.

Job Description

The Parts Place NAPA is committed to growing our sales and dominating the market in the areas where we have stores. Because of this we are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and hard-working Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team.

As an Outside Sales Representative your primary focus is on engaging with customers as the face of NAPA throughout the day and building long term relationships with those customers. We are looking for a person who enjoys customer service in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Store and Regional Manager to develop sales plans
  • Call on existing store wholesale customers to maintain and grow current relationships and sales penetration
  • Promote the full line of NAPA products and programs to existing customers
  • Develop new customer relationships with wholesale customers through prospecting and cold calling
  • Keep informed of new NAPA products and sales promotions by working with the product sales teams
  • Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearance at all times.
