Accounting Manager - Fitness Industry - 100% Remote

Join the nation’s leading fitness organization. The Accounting Manager is a highly visible position that will interact on a regular basis with senior level management.

The Accounting Manager must be a CPA and have experience working for a Big 4 or National CPA firm.

The company has an excellent work/life balance and this is a 100% work-from-home position, however candidates must live in Southern California.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of monthly financial statements
- Technical accounting & GAAP research
- Support External Reporting function
- Month-end close
- Staff Management (2 Senior Accountants)
- Responsibility for selected balance sheet and income statements accounts
- Research business transactions and document accounting issues
- Process improvements and streamlining processes
- SOX compliance
- Preparing and reviewing external auditor interim and annual audit schedules
- Ability to explain complex accounting and business issues to auditors (Big 4)
- Special projects including working with senior management in the review and analysis of new business ventures and initiatives
- Working cross functionally

Accounting Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA
- Big 4 or National CPA firm experience required
- Strong technical accounting experience
- Staff management experience
- Process improvement experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be goal oriented and a team player
