Job Description

We are seeking a mechanical designer/drafter to become a part of our team! Each project begins with a set of Contract Documents which you will need to read and interpret, as directed by our engineering manager. Along with a small team, you will then prepare detailed manufacturing drawings and a bill of materials, using our standard catalog of parts. Less frequently, you will be asked to do some light design work such as figuring out the best way to attach a bracket or how an assembly should be bolted to a subframe.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare drawings and BOM's for entertainment venue construction projects.
  • Properly detail drawings for use by our fabricators and installers.
  • Ensure that CAD standards are being followed.
  • Work with a small team to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years experience drafting steel machinery. You should be familiar with typical fasteners, weld symbols, Unistrut types, etc.
  • You should be reasonably mechanically inclined.
  • Proficient with one or more CAD software packages such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Draftsight, Fusion 360, Revit, etc. This position primarily uses AutoCAD but we are expanding our 3D capability as well.
  • BIM coordination experience is a plus.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Good team skills and a willingness to learn.

You must be located in or close proximity to Las Vegas, NV. WFH scheduling is available for ideal candidates after 90 days of working in person. After 90 days WFH days will become available as you demonstrate your ability to complete projects accurately and on time.

Please be prepared to show some examples of your work. A drafting skills test is required prior to your first day.

A $1500 signing bonus is available for employees who complete their 90 day probation and become full employees. 

Hours & Benefits

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30PM. Overtime is rare. Weekly pay.
