Psychologist Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Psychologist to join our practice. You will provide a full range of services to diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders using various types of examination tools and methods. We offer individual, group, and family therapy, so you may be called to oversee these groups for extended periods. You will work with patients of all ages, but having pediatric experience is a plus. Candidates must have a current license and at least two years of professional experience.
Psychologist Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather patient medical history
- Perform patient assesssments and interviews to identify psychiatric issues
- Develop treatment plans to reduce or eliminate problems
- Follow up with patients to determine effectiveness of treatment and make adjustments when necessary
- Work with families, groups, and individuals on specific psychological issues
Psychologist Requirements and Qualifications
- Ph.D. in psychology or a Doctor of Psychology degree
- 2+ years of clinical experience
- Pediatric experience a plus
- Current state license to practice
- Paneled status with insurance company preferred
