Concrete Carpenter Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, hardworking Concrete Carpenter to join our construction team. In this role, you will focus on formwork — building the temporary form systems that shape concrete as it hardens. After the concrete is poured and sets, you will smooth and finish the surfaces. You must have experience using hand and power tools to assist in the construction of concrete floors, sidewalks, curbs, and other structures. You should also be comfortable using measuring instruments to check that your concrete forms follow the blueprints or job specifications. All new hires must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test.

Concrete Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and align form systems
  • Construct scaffolding and platforms
  • Use measuring tools to ensure accuracy
  • Pour concrete
  • Finish concrete using hand and power tools
  • Follow OSHA safety regulations

Concrete Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or on-the-job training program strongly preferred
  • Experience with concrete form setting or construction is required
  • Proficiency with industry hand and power tools, including saws
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor
  • Basic math skills
  • Communication skills (Spanish/bilingual a plus)
