Our construction company is looking for a Brick Mason to join our team. Our ideal candidate has completed a masonry apprenticeship or finished a masonry program at a trade school. We want someone who has professional experience with concrete work, including concrete finishing and mixing, and is comfortable using a variety of power tools and building materials. This is a highly physical job, so you need to have excellent strength and stamina to stay efficient throughout your whole shift and be willing to work in the heat. While masonry skills are our main priority, we also expect you to have strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
Brick Mason Duties and Responsibilities
- Estimate the materials needed for each job
- Lay out the borders of the foundation
- Cut bricks to the right size
- Mix and spread mortar on the bricks
- Build up the structure
- Finish and polish all surfaces
