Job description

Overview
The Consumer Microsoft 365 suite of products and services is a key focus and investment area for Microsoft. The portfolio is centered around Microsoft 365, a large consumer subscription service which helps people create, share and collaborate through an assortment of apps, storage, security and AI driven features.
The Consumer Microsoft 365 Finance Team is chartered with building and sustaining a high growth business. The team helps establish and drive both tactical and strategic business execution, assesses business performance, generates critical insights, forms investment and trade-off decisions, and shapes our business transformation.
This role, based in Redmond, will be focused on driving Microsoft 365 subscriber retention, collaborating deeply with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing to grow the subscriber base and revenue through ownership of the subscriber lifecycle. This role is at the center of bringing together customer acquisition and retention to develop a complete subscriber landscape and the revenue it drives for the business. This individual will develop insights and recommendations triangulating between customer needs, competitive landscape, product roadmap, and financial/KPI evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Ownership of key financial deliverables such as close, forecast, budget and reporting.

  • Perform analysis and research of present and future performance to deliver key business insights and financial results

  • Collaborate with business leaders to define action plans based on insights and business objectives

  • Develop user friendly reports and communications that are audience specific to ensure clarity, drive alignment, and enable effective management and decision-making.

  • Partner with teams to develop robust LTV insights and competitive benchmarks

  • Drive business to achieve or beat business and financial growth targets.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600.00 - $188,400.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000.00 - $206,400.00 per year.
