Job description

Uniforms by Logo Express (ULE) is looking for a customer service-oriented Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of a retail location in the Greater New Orleans area. Our ideal candidate has strong leadership skills and a passion for helping others. Your goal will be to build successful sales and retention, as well as a positive, caring culture at the store. As Retail Store Manager, you will be expected to handle all aspects of ULE’s retail store which include training knowledgeable associates, supervising operational and organizational standards, maintaining the store’s appearance, and managing inventory. Most importantly, your job will be to embody ULE’s commitment to delivering outstanding customer shopping experiences. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate frequently and positively–verbally and in writing–to lead and support a team of 4–6 associates

  • Maintain an outstanding customer service-oriented environment through training and staff development

  • Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and follow up on work results

  • Deliver on sales targets and company goals through strategic scheduling and coaching of store associates

  • Lead store operations with a deep commitment to the customers’ and associates’ experience

  • Stay on top of the store’s inventory count, general appearance, and emergency readiness

  • Manage in a manner that is consistent with ULE’s values and policies

  • Carry out other duties as directed by the general manager

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) years of retail leadership experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English

  • Willing and available to work a flexible schedule including weekends

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage effectively with associates and customers

  • Creative problem solver with a positive attitude 

  • Must be able to bend, climb, carry, walk, reach and/or lift up to fifty (50) pounds

  • Basic computer skills such as browser navigation, software interaction, and data entry

  • Must be open to feedback and strive for continuous improvement
