ABOUT US:
Rated "Best of the County" by Marin Magazine and located in San Rafael, 25 miles north of San Francisco in the heart of Marin County, Peacock Gap Golf Club has been a pillar of the golf community for decades. In addition to a championship level golf course, Peacock Gap has a full-service restaurant, the Range Café, plus the largest event center in Marin County, The Clubhouse, providing beautiful meeting spaces for groups from eight to twelve hundred. POSITION SUMMARY:
Bartenders mix and serve alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. Their duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils and balancing cash receipts to record sales.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE:
  • $16.90 - $17.75 per hour, based on relevant experience to the role, plus tips.
  • 401K with dollar for dollar match up to 4%.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers
  • Mix traditional and creative cocktails
  • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
  • Recommend complimentary food and beverage pairings that can be offered to the customer looking for guidance.
  • Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
  • Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
  • Clean glasses and bar utensils, Bar gun and fountain tips
  • Perform side work as specified
  • Answer phone in cordial and professional manner
  • Collect checkouts from staff
  • Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
  • Stop serving anyone who appears impaired and follow the RBS guidelines when such a situation arises.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience as a bartender.
  • Valid Food Handler Card required and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
  • Must be 21 years of age or over.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to establish a positive rapport with many types of personalities and the ability to communicate clearly with customers.
  • Detail orientated with good short- and long-term memory.
