TWG Engineering is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager – Electrical Distribution to lead engineering teams supporting critical electric utility infrastructure programs for ComEd and other Exelon operating companies.

This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering organization focused on delivering impactful distribution engineering solutions across overhead and underground systems, grid modernization initiatives, reliability programs, and utility infrastructure improvements.

We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment, enjoys mentoring technical teams, and can successfully manage client-facing utility programs from execution through delivery.

What You’ll DoTeam Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and manage engineers and designers supporting electrical distribution programs
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development
  • Foster a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and quality
Project & Program Delivery
  • Oversee execution of overhead and underground distribution engineering projects
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations
  • Coordinate with internal teams and utility stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Client Engagement
  • Serve as a key point of contact for ComEd and other Exelon stakeholders
  • Participate in client meetings, project updates, and issue resolution discussions
  • Build strong working relationships through responsive communication and consistent execution
Technical Oversight
  • Provide guidance on electrical distribution systems ranging from 4kV–34.5kV
  • Review engineering deliverables for accuracy, constructability, and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to utility standards and engineering best practices
Operational Support
  • Assist with resource planning and workload balancing
  • Support proposal and scope development efforts
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical distribution engineering
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership or project management experience
  • Experience supporting utility clients such as ComEd or other Exelon companies
  • Strong understanding of overhead and underground distribution systems
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
  • Experience with utility standards, GIS, CAD, and work management systems
  • Familiarity with grid modernization, reliability, and system hardening initiatives

Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range

$145,000 – $165,000 annually

Final compensation will be based on experience, technical expertise, leadership background, and overall qualifications.
