    Structural Analysis Engineer ( Senior, Principal)

    The Boeing Company is seeking a highly accomplished Structural Analysis Engineer join the Mechanical & Structural Engineering Technical Task Force team in Everett, WA., Renton, WA., and Tukwila, WA.

    Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Senior and Principal level Structural Analysis Engineers.

    In this role you will provide enterprise-level technical leadership in structural analysis, certification, testing, and advanced product development. This individual will serve as a recognized expert in the industry and within Boeing, applying highly advanced engineering principles, analytical methods, and engineering judgment to develop, integrate, and document structural requirements across the product lifecycle.

    The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness, and will be expected to work independently while shaping long-range technical strategy, influencing certification approaches, and serving as a technical consultant to senior leadership. This role is accountable for advancing structural analysis methods, supporting regulatory and customer certification, and identifying emerging technologies that create future product and business opportunities.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish system and product design intent.

    • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering organizations to define product environment, loads, and constraints.

    • Lead structural integrity assessments using analytical methods, finite element models, simulations, and other advanced engineering tools.

    • Develop and approve test plans, test configurations, and analysis approaches used to validate and verify systems and components.

    • Analyze and document test results to substantiate compliance with requirements and specifications.

    • Define and document certification and test results for customers, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.

    • Support in-service products by investigating failures, identifying root causes, and recommending structural or process improvements.

    • Develop analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development efforts.

    • Investigate emerging technologies and support future product designs to meet projected requirements.

    • Develop and implement enterprise-level approaches to structural and stability analysis and testing.

    • Work with customers and regulatory agencies to establish certification standards and compliance processes.

    • Review and approve certification results and related documentation.

    • Plan research and development programs and recommend technological applications to support long-range objectives.

    • Design highly advanced applications that can create new product or business opportunities.

    • Serve as a consultant to top management on long-range company planning in areas of technological research and advancement.

    • Act as a primary spokesperson on the company's technical capabilities and future direction.

    • Contribute to major business pursuits through recognized technical authority.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).

    • 10+ years of experience do you have with structural analysis methods and repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques, damage tolerance methods used in maintenance programs)?

    • 10+ years of experience in Structural Analysis

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Recognized as an industry expert or Boeing Designated Expert.

    • Strong knowledge of regulatory certification processes and customer compliance requirements.

    • Proven ability to lead independently and operate at enterprise scope.

    • Experience influencing long-range technology planning and product strategy.

    • Experience serving as a technical spokesperson with customers, regulators, and executive leadership.

    • Demonstrated success supporting business capture, major program decisions, or enterprise technology development.

    • Deep knowledge of Boeing structural analysis competencies and advanced stress competencies.

    • Extensive experience with finite element modeling, simulation, and analytical validation.

    • Excellent technical communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

    • Experience developing or improving analytical methods, tools, or engineering processes.
