Job Overview

The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of an assigned Distribution Center. They provide overall direction and oversight in performance, safety, P&L management, customer relations, continuous improvement, and Team Member development. This role is supported by Assistant Managers and the Regional Distribution Manager.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Distribution Center to advance and accomplish the XLP/TPH Vision and Mission, adhering to the Core Values consistently.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient handling of inbound deliveries, meeting dock to stock KPI goals.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient fulfillment of outbound orders, meeting delivery KPI goals.
  • Oversee and direct safety programs to ensure the well-being of associates, equipment, and property.
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
  • Manage budget and P&L for operations.
  • Develop work plans, manage staffing levels and labor costs, and optimize workforce retention.
  • Maintain high quality and productivity standards, identifying performance variances and addressing training needs.
  • Lead and develop Team Members and Leadership, assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Identify training and development needs, participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, and evaluation of Team Members and Leadership.
  • Address ethical, performance, and compliance issues, enforcing compliance and administering appropriate consequences.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting to prevent incidents affecting safety, quality, cost, delivery, or morale.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain Standard Operating Procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; experience will be considered in-lieu-of degree.
  • 5+ years' supervisory experience, in a distribution center environment.
  • Experience with various types of warehouse equipment, including trucks, stock pickers, and forklifts.

Physical Demands: Typical 9-hour day to include walking, squatting, and lifting. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required.
