As a Tech Consultant, no two daysare ever the same, but a typical day willmost likely includethe following responsibilities:

  • Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:

  • Greet:

  • 10ft: be friendly - smile, make eye contact, or wave

  • 4ft: greet the guest, smile andinitiatea warm, helpful interaction

  • Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience

  • End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you

  • Actively support team efforts andassistpeers in other areas whilemaintaininga positive and respectful attitude

  • Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience

  • Be aware oftop sellers andnew producttrends to help guests find the right technology solutions and accessories to complete their purchase.

  • Be aware of new releases across Music, Books, and Video Games and ensure product is ready for theguestatopen.

  • Create an inviting shopping environmentby ensuringproduct isin stock, signed correctly, andthatthe area is cleanand available for guests to shop.

  • Support changes to productassortment and keep Electronicsinspiring toguests all year roundbymaintaininga brand space following new sets.

  • Be an advocate forTargetownedbrands and knowledgeable about their benefits (extended returns, price point, guarantees, etc.).

  • Help the guest get the most out of their new tech purchase bysharingvarious accessoryoptions.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of extended warranty(Allstate and Apple Care+)and buy now,pay later options(Affirm).

  • Alwaysdemonstratea culture of ethical conduct,safetyand compliance.

  • Work in a safe mannerat all times;comply withall safety policies,best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.

  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) andmaintaina compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and localadult beveragelaws.

  • All other dutiesbasedon business needs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be aTech Consultant.But,there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

  • 6+ monthspreviousretail experience preferred, but notrequired

  • Strong interest in electronicsand entertainmentproducts,particularly,health tech,videogames, techaccessories,booksand music.

  • Welcoming and helpful attitude towardallguests and other team members

  • Ability to communicate onmultiplefrequency devices andoperatehandheld scanners, and othertechnologyequipmentas directed

  • Effective communication skills

  • Work both independently and with a team

  • Resolve guest questions quicklyon the spot

  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment andaccomplishmultiple tasks within establishedtimeframes.

  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights,weekendsand holidays); come to work when scheduled,work scheduled shifts and take required mealand rest breaks

  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certainjob duties including but not limited to Drive-Ups, carryout, etc.

  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
