Job Description

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin seeks board eligible/board certified ED Physicians for our innovative new hospital model called the ?Neighborhood Hospital?.

Position Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin

About the Neighborhood Hospitals:

The neighborhood hospitals, located in Mequon and Oak Creek, will be a licensed, accredited acute care hospitals, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and staffed with board-certified physicians and emergency trained nurses. The inpatient unit will include 24-hour telemedicine hospitalist services including cardiology, neurology, and other specialties. Transfer agreements will be in place with local hospitals to receive patients requiring surgery or higher levels of care.

In additional to the high quality, compassionate care that Froedtert MCW is known for, the neighborhood hospital will focus on providing an exceptional patient experience from beginning to end including low wait times (less than 15 minutes to see a physician,) quick turn-around times on test results, free convenient parking, open visiting hours for family/friends, family lounge with complimentary refreshments, flat-screen TVs, free Wifi, and soothing, welcoming interiors for maximum comfort and a stress-free visit.
