Advanced American Construction (AAC) has a long history of unprecedented, national award-winning success in heavy civil/marine construction. To build on our past and continue to grow, AAC is searching for an experienced Project Manager to oversee exciting upcoming projects in the Portland area.
AAC takes on exciting, one-of-a-kind projects that require creative thinking and industry innovation. We are looking for candidates who are excited to work as a team, find solutions, and deliver a quality project.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be accountable for all aspects of the project including budgeting, billing, invoice approval, negotiate change orders with subcontractors and suppliers, scheduling of crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries, weekly update meetings with the Owner, cost forecasting, reporting, and most importantly project safety.
The ideal candidate would be someone able to think outside the box to solve complex problems, motivate other management staff and crew, build and maintain a great relationship with the Owner, and have fun building a unique project.
Qualifications:
- Must be a team player
- Bachelor degree in Construction Management preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in heavy civil, structural, or marine construction
- Proficient in Microsoft suite and construction software
- Working knowledge and experience with 2D & 3D AutoCAD
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Estimating experience including quantity takeoffs and ability to determine the right means and methods for the scope of work being performed
- Scheduling experience and cost control is a must
- Clear ability to organize and prioritize workload, with drive toward continuous improvement
- Strong attention to detail
