HVAC Runout Technician

We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC Technician to calibrate, test, and perform quality assurance/quality control on HVAC systems, many of these units are custom units. The HVAC Technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, and troubleshooting systems. You will work with and advise our Engineering and Production teams, providing feedback on HVAC unit construction and performance. These are advanced precision-engineered products requiring a highly experienced and skilled technician.
To be successful in this role quality of workmanship, safety, and constancy should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient, and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
HVAC Technician Responsibilities:
- Test, Calibrate, and Inspect newly constructed HVAC units
- Identifying any production mistakes.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all findings.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
HVAC Technician Requirements:
- Current HVAC Certification is preferred.
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
- 2+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
- Working knowledge of boiler systems.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Ability to possibly work after hours or over weekends with short or no notice.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
