Medical Assistant

Medical AssistantValparaiso, INA local medical center is looking for medical assistants at their Valparaiso location. Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-Greet patients-Prepare patients for exams-Take blood pressure, height/weight, temperature, and other vitals-Perform health screenings-Assist with lab work-Assist with scheduling-Answer phones and patient questions-Plan and coordinate patient care-Keep medical records-Maintain a safe, clean work environmentQualified candidates should be a graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants, with at least 160 hours of clinical externship experience. A graduate of an accredited 2-year Medical Assistant Associate's Degree program is preferred.

Candidates should have the ability to pass an administered skills test, currently be CPR-certified, and ideally have one-year experience as a Medical Assistant.Schedule would be Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM - one of those days would be 11 AM to 8 PM... The schedule would also include working a 9 AM to 1 PM shift on Saturday, roughly once per month.For Certified/Registered Medical Assistants, the hourly salary would be $14-$15/hour. For Non-Certified/Registered Medical Assistants, the hourly salary would be $12-$13/hour
