About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team as part of Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI). Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.

This role is part of the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team and focuses on Intelligent Document Services (IDOCS)-one of the most robust, highscale production platforms in the enterprise with 10+ Billion documents in our repository. You will help build and evolve nextgeneration AI solutions used every day across the bank. In this role, you will lead the architecture and design of modern systems that are reusable, scalable, efficient, and resilient. You will work handson with cuttingedge AI technologies and latest AI models to transform document operations such as classification, extraction, validation, and enrichment. This position offers significant AI research and innovation opportunities. You will help shape how new AI tools and technologies are adopted and scaled across the enterprise.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5 years of experience in Application Development using Java and Microservices

  • 3+ years of experience using Spring Boot


Desired Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience using generative AI technologies using OpenAI standard APIs

  • Experience of vector database is preferred

  • Experience on Kafka, Apigee and containers like docker, k3s

  • 3+ years of Mongo/No SQL DB experience

  • 3+ years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to cloud environments

  • Understanding of technology architecture: distributed and client server technologies

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, be self-directed, self-motivated, committed, and a quick learner
