Summary:

In this role, you will support the Data & Digital Services team, which provides custom analytics and insights services to Vizient clients. You will conduct analyses and projects under limited supervision to identify actionable strategic insights and enhance decision making. You will present findings and recommendations to leadership and provide guidance in selecting alternative approaches. You will assist in training and mentorship to other team members and bring forward best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, high-impact analytics engagements leveraging the Operational Database (ODB), Vizient Clinical Database (CDB), and other internal and external data sources to support enterprise and client decision-making.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, gather requirements, align expectations, and ensure analytics solutions address complex business needs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ODB data, including data structures, refresh cycles, limitations, and appropriate use cases, ensuring analytical rigor and reliability across deliverables.
  • Own the design and execution of advanced analyses, synthesizing findings into clear, strategic recommendations that support business, operational, and clinical planning decisions.
  • Provide strategic advisory support to stakeholders by translating ODB-based insights into actionable guidance that influences priorities, investments, and operational strategies.
  • Lead multiple concurrent initiatives with minimal oversight, setting analytical approach, defining success criteria, and managing dependencies across teams.
  • Ensure high standards of quality and consistency across all analytical outputs by validating assumptions, incorporating feedback, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to data or delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the use of ODB data by identifying opportunities to enhance data availability, analytical workflows, and downstream insights.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff, establishing best practices for ODB usage, analysis design, and client-facing communication.
  • Influence analytical strategy and priorities by sharing insights, patterns, and lessons learned from ODB-driven work across engagements.
  • Apply advanced critical thinking to ambiguous and complex problems, using ODB data to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and recommend innovative, data-driven solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Advanced degree is in Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration or Data Science is a plus.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, database, and spreadsheet skills required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and SQL required.
  • Experience with ODB required.
  • Experience with Vizient CDB highly preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau or other BI solutions highly preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of Vizient portfolio of products and services is preferred.
  • Ability to meet rigorous deadlines, balance multiple priorities and achieve high levels of productivity while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.
