About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Analytics Consultant to lead customer risk analytics, impact assessments, metrics reporting, and model governance activities within a Financial Crimes Risk Management environment. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, experience working with AML and risk models, and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate has a background in Financial Crimes, AML, Fraud, Sanctions, Operational Risk, or Corporate Risk, combined with strong SQL and data analytics expertise.
Responsibilities
As an Analytics Consultant, you will:
  • Lead complex analytical initiatives with enterprise-wide impact, supporting strategic planning and risk management activities.
  • Perform advanced analysis of AML and Financial Crimes models, including:
    • Customer Risk
    • Product Risk
    • Country Risk
    • Industry Risk
  • Develop, monitor, and report key risk metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
  • Conduct impact assessments and analytics related to model ownership responsibilities.
  • Partner with business leaders, risk teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of Financial Crimes programs in compliance with regulatory requirements, including:
    • Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
    • Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
    • Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF)
    • Global Sanctions
    • Fraud Risk Management
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, risks, anomalies, and emerging trends.
  • Conduct investigative research, root-cause analysis, and risk assessments involving complex transactions, referrals, policies, customers, and related parties.
  • Create and maintain processes, controls, and documentation that enhance risk monitoring and program effectiveness.
  • Provide recommendations and insights to support business decisions and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to drive initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Support training development and knowledge-sharing efforts across teams.
  • Present analytical findings and business recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Financial Crimes
    • Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
    • Fraud Prevention
    • Operational Risk
    • Economic Sanctions
    • Anti-Bribery and Corruption
    • Risk Analytics
  • 5+ years of experience performing data analysis, reporting, and business problem-solving in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex analytical frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Corporate Risk, Financial Crimes Risk Management, or Banking Risk functions.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing, monitoring, and reporting Financial Crimes or AML-related data.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and presenting business intelligence reports and dashboards.
  • 3+ years of hands-on SQL experience, including writing, modifying, and optimizing queries.
  • Strong understanding of databases, data architecture, and information management technologies.
  • Experience defining business and functional requirements for large-scale initiatives.
  • Ability to influence decision-making and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
