Server, Banquets (C-List)

As a Banquet Server at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, you will attend to guests', offering more traditional suggestions or serving as tour guide for an evening of adventurous dining. With your dynamic approach you will personalize each guest experience providing a sometimes comfortable, sometimes energized, and always friendly atmosphere.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:


* Deliver prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to banquet guests in accordance with established standards.
* Perform necessary tasks to service guests, i.e. taking and filling all food and drink orders and assisting in maintaining guests' dining area in a clean and neat manner.
* Monitor guests' needs on a continual basis, ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled.
* Participate as an employee in producing a smoothly and efficiently run banquet event.
* Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in all banquet service areas and for all banquet service equipment.
* Maintain company-issued uniform in good condition and report to work in authorized uniform as mandated by organization. This includes maintaining a clean and well-groomed appearance in compliance with departmental and company dress code standards.
* Other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:


* At least six months food server experience in banquet or full service restaurant operation.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Polished appearance and demeanor.
* Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
* At least 21 years of age.

Preferred:


* Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.
