ABOUT THE TEAM

The People and Culture team is committed to creating a fulfilling and inspiring place to work for all of the people who deliver the client experience - from our warehouse team to tech talent to merchants to stylists. We pride ourselves on creating a fun and collaborative environment where we solve problems together. We are looking for people who are bright, kind and motivated by challenge to join our team and model the culture we seek to create!

Stitch Fix's Compensation team is at an exciting moment of transformation. We have a stable, structured job architecture, but are planning to reinvent and rebuild some of our programs from scratch over the next few years. The team has the leeway to innovate on compensation programs and therefore has an exciting runway ahead.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Compensation Lead, you will serve as a Compensation Partner to several of our functions, deep dive into the analytics that drive compensation team initiatives, act as a program manager, and be a mentor to other team members. As a compensation subject matter expert, you'll work closely with our People & Culture Business Partners on program execution and creating stewards of our compensation philosophy and programs. This role will report to the Director of Compensation.

In this role, you will roll up your sleeves and work hands-on while simultaneously providing strategic direction in program management and design within a highly innovative and growth oriented  organization. Some problems this role may tackle include helping to design and implement an equitable pay-for-performance program, creating pay progression programs for our hourly roles, leading compensation education initiatives, helping to prepare for our Board of Director Compensation Committee meetings, and program managing our core Compensation processes (e.g., annual pay review, equity refresh cycles, job architecture updates).

YOU'RE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL...

  • Have the opportunity to pioneer innovative approaches to compensation at a high-growth, publicly traded company
  • Act as a Compensation Partner to both hourly and salaried functions, acting as an ambassador for our Compensation Philosophy
  • Lead on-going compensation team programs/projects, including scoping, design, planning and execution. Identify and implement opportunities to build, evolve and automate current processes and programs.
  • Be data-driven in all that you do and leverage your analytical skills by taking the lead on scoping analysis, designing models, and story-telling with data
  • Act as the Program Manager for core compensation programs (e.g., annual pay review and equity refresh), with analytics support from our Compensation Associate
  • Lead analysis scoping, model design, and synthesizing findings into recommendations to support the evolution of our compensation programs.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting techniques and evaluation criteria in completing analysis, in reporting key findings and in developing solutions & recommendations.
  • Engage with People & Culture team members and organizational leaders to create stewards and advocates of our compensation philosophy.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of communication and training materials for compensation programs.
  • Develop your people leadership skills by acting as a mentor and coach to Compensation Analyst(s) and Associate(s)

WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE...

  • You have 5+ years of experience in compensation, preferably with some of that time spent "in-house" in a corporate environment (preferably in a large multinational company in the high technology sector OR experience with hourly employee populations)
  • You have broad, deep, and demonstrated compensation expertise in multiple topic areas - including job matching and market pricing, public company equity mechanics, and executive compensation
  • You have strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively vision and execute models, and tell compelling and easy to follow stories from data
  • You have a growth mindset - you think about how to work smarter, and take on the next challenge
  • You have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to communicate and explain compensation philosophy, program design, and recommendations effectively with all levels of the organization
  • You thrive working in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing business needs
  • Above all else, you are Bright, Kind and Motivated by Challenge!

WHY YOU WILL LOVE WORKING AT STITCH FIX

  • We are a group of bright and kind people who are motivated by challenge. You can be your authentic self here, and are empowered to encourage others to do the same!
  • We are a successful, fast-growing company at the forefront of tech and fashion, redefining retail for the next generation
  • We are a technologically and data-driven business
  • We are committed to our clients and connected through our vision of "Transforming the way people find what they love"
  • We love solving problems, thinking creatively and trying new things
  • We believe in autonomy & taking initiative
  • We are challenged, developed and have meaningful impact
  • We take what we do seriously. We don't take ourselves seriously
  • We have a smart, experienced leadership team that wants to do it right & is open to new ideas
  • We offer competitive compensation packages and comprehensive health benefits
  • You will be proud to say that you work for Stitch Fix and will know that the work you do brings joy to our clients every day
