JD:
We are seeking experienced AS400 Production Support Analysts to join our consulting team in support of a large healthcare client. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day production support activities, including incident resolution, service request handling, and system monitoring for AS400 applications developed in RPG400 and Synon.
This is a hybrid position, with on-site work required Tuesday through Thursday at one of the following preferred location: Dallas, TX. Mondays and Fridays are remote. Candidates in other U.S. locations may be considered based on experience and availability.
Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support AS400-based applications in a high-availability healthcare environment.
  • Handle incident management, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis (L1.5/L2 support).
  • Process and fulfill service requests efficiently and within SLAs.
  • Work closely with application developers and business stakeholders to ensure system stability.
  • Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions, and processes.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations, if needed.

Job Requirements
  • 7-15 years of experience supporting AS400 environments, preferably in healthcare or other regulated industries.
  • Strong proficiency in RPG400(RPG IV), Synon/2E, and CL programming.
  • Experience with production support, incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow), and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Understanding of L1.5/L2 support processes and SLAs.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
