Job description
Performs electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment, along with facility repair and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Performs preventive maintenance on all scheduled equipment and facility
- Troubleshoots and repairs injection mold presses as necessary
- Performs a variety of tasks using experience and judgment
- Upholds Xeridiem vision and core values
- Performs other duties as required
- Light machining, welding and fixture fabrication
- Uphold SPG and Dupont vision and core values.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities, Equipment)
Required:
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within field
- Ability to problem solve identify errors and deficiencies and perform research with limited guidance
- Ability to apply knowledge to their job function using pre-established guidelines and instructions
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness
- Computer skills
- Proficient communications skills
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude
- Ability to comprehend and comply with company safety and quality standards
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Basic hand tools
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, and mechanical systems; proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial or commercial setting (or demonstrated progression in a maintenance technician role).
- Responsible for understanding and complying with all SPG and Dupont safety policies and procedures
Preferred:
- Certificate of formal training in the field of maintenance or machinist
- Manufacturing background
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works under general supervision. Requires physical activity with the majority of time spent walking/moving around Xeridiem facility performing various manual projects and using machinery. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. When on manufacturing floor, protective clothing is necessary. Position requires flexible hours and ability to work around chemicals.
