Pharmacy Technician

Job Specifics and Requirements:

-Must be able to work in the Hayward ,CA area

-Must have a valid, clear and active California Pharmacy Technician license

- Must have PTCB

-High School Diploma or equivalent

-1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience

- Filling blister cards experience is a plus

-Background and Drug Screening

-Health Screening required

-Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccine

Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.

• Type prescription information and label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.

• Take inventory, place orders, check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items.

• Notify purchasing staff or appropriate personnel of medication and/or supply needs through reorder logs. Monitor back-order requests.

• Fill bulk products and blister packs, and stage for delivery.

• Input patient data and medication orders into the computer system.

• Prepare medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments.

• Package medications for dispensing and delivery.

• Sanitize IV room, equipment and hood.

• Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.

• Remove and sort by work function the delivery bags, totes and equipment from return area inside pharmacy. Ensure proper dispensation of returned medication items.

• Replace emergency boxes as requested.

• Maintain neat, clean and organized workplace at all times to avoid contamination.

• Support location and departmental goals, and overall company objectives.

• Comply with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.

Work Schedule Available: Full-Time

Monday - Friday

Shifts Available: 8:00 am -5:00 pm ;12:00 pm-8:30 pm ; 6:00 pm-2:30 am
