Job description

Our client in the telecommunications space is looking for a Network Administrator to support and maintain their environment while helping modernize key parts of their infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, server administration, and ongoing system improvements.
What you’ll do:
Manage and support a 40+ server environment across primarily Windows systems
Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, user management, and overall tenant support
Perform Windows server upgrades, migrations, and ongoing maintenance
Support and manage Intune for endpoint configuration and device management
Assist with virtualization efforts, including transitioning from KVM to Hyper-V
Handle general system administration tasks across servers and enterprise systems
Provide light network administration support, including work with UniFi
Troubleshoot DNS, IP routing, and connectivity issues
Support and coordinate with an external MSP for antivirus and remote management
What they’re looking for:
Strong experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online
Solid background in Windows server administration and upgrades/migrations
Experience with Intune or similar endpoint management tools
Exposure to virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or KVM
Basic networking knowledge including DNS and IP routing
Ability to work independently and take ownership of systems and improvements
Some exposure to Linux environments is helpful but not required
Nice to have:
Experience with Cloudflare, including DNS hosting and web application firewall (WAF)
Experience transitioning off MSP-managed tools to internal ownership
Familiarity with UniFi networking environments• 5+ years of experience in network or systems administration within an enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on background with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online administration and tenant support.
• Proven experience managing Windows servers, including upgrades, migrations, and ongoing operational support.
• Working knowledge of Intune or a comparable endpoint management platform.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and related infrastructure components.
• Understanding of core networking concepts, including firewalls, LAN environments, and IP routing.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take ownership of infrastructure improvements.
• Exposure to Linux systems, Cloudflare, Azure Active Directory, Azure Admin Center, or UniFi environments is a plus.
