We’re looking for a Senior Data Protection Analyst to join Procore’s fast-growing Legal, Regulatory & Compliance (LRC) Department. This pivotal role will be responsible for operationalizing and maintaining data protection policies, privacy compliance processes, and other solutions that protect our corporate, employee, and customer data.

As a Senior Data Protection Analyst, you’ll be a key contributor in identifying and managing risks and responsibilities relating to privacy, data transfers, third-party management, and records information management all while fostering a data-centric compliance culture throughout the product the company. You’ll partner with a variety of internal stakeholders across the organization, including LRC, IT, Security, Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to provide guidance on global initiatives impacting data privacy and security.  The ideal candidate should be self-motivated; creative; detail-oriented; and knowledgeable  regarding privacy, corporate data compliance, information technology systems, and data protection processes. This is an exciting, new position with a collaborative, growing team that will contribute to the company’s continued growth and success. 

This position reports to our Senior Manager, Data Protection. This role can be remote or based in one of Procore’s U.S.-based office locations. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do:

  • Bring vision and experience to contribute to the data mapping of business processes; system assets; and third parties to track data flows, identify risks, and support classification across company systems
  • Serve as the team’s Records Coordinator responsible for implementing the records management program, including operationalizing the retention of legal documents in partnership with Legal Operations resources.
  • Coordinate updates to workflows and playbooks for processes relating to data protection controls, including data mapping tools in OneTrust, and updates to data protection resources to advocate privacy and data protection compliance
  • Lead third-Party due diligence assessments for compliance, privacy and security risk  
  • Design and conduct analysis across key data protection metrics to identify gaps and build impactful reporting 
  • Assist in developing data protection, privacy, and compliance policies and procedures
  • Document and respond to Data Subject Access Requests pursuant to playbooks and escalations
  • Assist in the overall administration of OneTrust and its various integrations with other company tools 
  • Lead or support additional projects as needed, potentially including the ongoing ownership of longer-term programs
  • Stay abreast and advise on potential impacts of new developments, industry trends, and best practices in the markets in which we operate

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years of progressively responsible data protection, information governance or privacy  experience (gained ideally at a SaaS or other high growth technology company)
  • Bachelor’s degree and OneTrust experience required (OneTrust Certification and IAPP Certifications are a plus) 
  • High EQ, impeccable professional ethics, integrity,  judgment, and demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information and sensitive information with tact and discretion
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, efficient, and resourceful with exceptional follow-through skills
  • Ability to simultaneously manage workloads, multiple client demands, and shifting priorities within a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively counsel internal business partners by providing clear and concise advice and creative solutions to meet business needs
  • Strong desire to learn the business and to function integrally as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Able to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive “can do” attitude to the workplace working collaboratively with other members of the LRC Department and with internal business partners
  • Proficiency with Google Suite applications (Gmail, Drive, Slides, Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and Slack is plus
  • Experience working with a global team is a plus
