About this roleResponsible for instructing students at the Early College Summer Academy (ECSA) which is designed to support potential first-generation college students with the skills and motivation necessary to participate in dual enrollment, complete a secondary education, enter a post-secondary education, and succeed in earning AA/AS all before graduating from high school.Base Pay: $27.00. Offer amount based on College's Salary Schedule guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops discipline-related curricula, assesses student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities.
Instructs middle and high school students in accordance with educational theories and techniques to be adequately prepared for success in a dual enrollment program.
Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.
Teaches in a highly interactive environment for middle and high school students in grades 6 through 12.
Uses educational software to monitor students' progress with pre- and post-assessments ensure that all students take diagnostic tests, evaluate the data, and utilize it to drive instruction.
Provides individual assistance to ensure each student is on track to being successful on the readiness exams within allotted time frames.
Generates numerous progress reports for students and the ECSA staff.
Organizes and conducts activities, field trips, college visits, and other kinesthetic experiences designed to help students grow and mature.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree
Florida teaching certification
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Skilled in:
Teaching and motivating students to succeed
Maintaining effective time and task management and attention to detail
Managing and resolving conflict in a positive manner
Ability to:
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
Work with individual students to develop multiple models of academic success
