Bay Area Regional Culinary Purchasing Manager

Meta is seeking a Regional Culinary Purchasing Manager to oversee the Culinary Purchasing Program for the Bay Area region. This role reports directly to the Culinary Programs Director and will manage a team of Purchasers. The candidate best suited for this role must be able to work strategically and cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders and can effectively lead a team in delivering operational excellence.Our Global Culinary organization is composed of multiple teams that work together to support our operations around the globe. - Oversees all aspects of purchasing within the Region.
- Develops strong collaborative relationships with key stake holders to manage standards, consistency and spend.
- Responsible for team and individual(s) development.
- Creates and manages purchase orders for the region.
- Reviews invoices and approves payments.
- Manages cafe, smallwares and equipment budgets across the region.
- Sources, negotiates and manages suppliers in accordance with our Global Culinary Purchasing Standards.
- Works actively to source diverse suppliers within the region in accordance with Meta's standards.
- Provides direction, leadership and develops a team of Purchasers.
- Implements and maintains sustainable procurement practices.
- Manages the per diem meal program within the region.
- Works with our food safety and compliance team to comply with local legislation and adhere to culinary best practices when managing suppliers and processes.
- Liaises with cross functional teams for any new cafe openings and follows the (new sites or buildings) project plans for purchasing.
- Becomes a subject matter expert on Meta's integrated cafe purchasing software and our internal company procurement tool.
- Facilitates regional purchasing meetings.
- Works with other regional purchasing managers to review the purchasing strategy and actively suggests areas of continual improvement.
- Attends trade shows and stays up-to-date on forecasted trends across the industry.
- Flexibility to travel if necessary.
- Minimum of 5-10% travel is expected.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in a regional culinary purchasing role managing multiple outlets.
- Proven financial acumen with experience managing large accounts.
- Proven experience in planning, sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier management.
- Proven stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in leading change, improving processes and operations.
- Experience to think critically and strategically prioritize work based on business priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite.
- Professional communication skills.
- Proven people management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in food, procurement, supply chain, business or related field.
- Hotel or food industry procurement experience.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with National and/or Global Contract Negotiations.
