Job description

The purpose of this position is to ensure the cleanliness of all welfare areas.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the cleaning, sanitizing, and general upkeep of all welfare areas (i.e., break rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, office area, etc.).
  • Clean, mop, and vacuums floors and office furniture.
  • Clean and sanitize all doors and door handles.
  • Clean and sanitize all handwashing stations, replenish five (5) gallon jugs and other supplies as needed.
  • Empty and remove trash/recycling materials.
  • Organize and replenish Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies.
  • Establish an in-house inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Expected to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
  • High School Diploma or GED.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
  • Prior Industrial Sanitation experience and/or experience in regulated industries, i.e., healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods is highly desired.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to meet physical demands including reaching, climbing, bending, walking, standing, and performing repetitive work.
  • Comfortable working in conditions that include height, cold, heat, and high intensity lighting.
  • Basic mechanical skills with the ability to disassemble and reassemble sanitation equipment.
  • Work with chemicals and sanitizers and adhere to Chemical Safety Training.
