Job description

Wastewater Plant Operator
Location: Dallas, TX
Company: Liquid Environmental Solutions
Starting Pay: $21.75 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday with approximately one Saturday per month
  • Must be open to working ALL shifts as business needs require

Shifts Include:
  • 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
  • 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Job Overview
Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a Wastewater Plant Operator to support daily operations at our Dallas wastewater treatment facility. This role is responsible for treating wastewater, monitoring water quality, performing maintenance work, and ensuring compliant discharge to publicly owned treatment works.
This position involves hands-on plant operations, physical labor, exposure to strong odors, and working in an industrial environment. Operators must be flexible and willing to work any shift based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes to ensure safe and compliant operations
  • Mix, handle, and add wastewater treatment chemicals as required
  • Sample and test wastewater and facility discharge for compliance with procedures and regulations
  • Monitor tank levels and manage space for incoming wastewater and treatment materials
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic mechanical work to support plant operations
  • Assist with area cleanup and housekeeping as required
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and compliance policies, including proper use of PPE
  • Communicate effectively with plant leadership and team members regarding safety, efficiency, and operational issues
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support overall facility performance

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to learn and follow procedures related to wastewater treatment and material handling
  • Willingness to work around strong odors and in wet or dirty conditions
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and compliance
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and open to cross-training

Preferred (not required):
  • Prior wastewater treatment, plant operations, or industrial experience
  • Mechanical or maintenance experience

Work Environment
  • Industrial wastewater treatment plant environment
  • Exposure to hot, cold, wet conditions and strong odors
  • Ability to work on feet for most of the shift
