Job Objective: Promote physical, social, and emotional health services designed to help students and staff achieve their maximum potential to benefit from the educational program.
Note: Legal limitations prohibit the diagnosis and treatment of individuals beyond the evaluation of symptoms and administering first aid in emergencies. Students with suspected problems are referred to their parents/guardians for follow-up by their personal physician and/or other medical provider.

Responsibilities: Performs all school nurse duties to ensure the health of students including performing screening tests and responding to student health emergencies. Monitor students with communicable diseases. Act as liaison between the home, school and physician or health care provider. Provide first aide and emergency care. Maintain and update student health records. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have a valid State of Ohio RN License.
  • Possess or qualify for Ohio School Nurse License preferred.
  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Evidence of a clear record as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII
