Propane Gas Service Technician

Kamps Propane in Rocklin is ready to hire a new Propane Service Technician to help us provide excellent service to our customers in the Sierra foothills. You'll be a part of our clean energy business as we help our customers with safe and reliable service for their homes and businesses. We need a person with propane or gas plumbing experience and a track record of providing great service with a consistent focus on safety.

You'll perform propane tank installations and propane system repair services for our customers at their locations. The job requires the operation of a company vehicle and pre-employment screening for illegal drug use is required. The position calls for a regular work schedule between 8am-5pm M-F in addition to on-call shifts for emergencies. You must be friendly, a team player and eager to assist co-workers and customers at all times.

Other duties include:

- Bulk propane tank installation and removal for residential, commercial and ag propane users.
- Perform gas pipe installations and repairs as needed for new and existing customers.
- Perform system safety checks and inspections for new customers and out-of-gas calls.
- Lift up to 100lbs to move tanks and equipment as required.
- Perform appliance system conversions from natural gas to propane.
- Installation of appliances and system testing as required for appliance installations.
- Promotion and sales of propane and propane services to existing and potential customers.

Class B license with air brake, tanker and hazardous materials endorsement required. Clean DMV report and pre-employment drug and health screening is required.
