Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Tech for our client. This job is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional living environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role performs routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on apartment units and property grounds while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Inspect property conditions regularly and address unsafe or hazardous issues promptly.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and property systems.
- Diagnose and complete minor and routine maintenance and repairs.
- Complete all make-ready repairs and services for apartment units.
- Inspect and assist in coordinating unit readiness for new occupants.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and perform general cleanup duties.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including raking, sweeping, and shoveling as needed.
- Follow all EPA, OSHA, and safety regulations.
- Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 1 year of apartment maintenance experience required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- HVAC certification preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call shifts
- Knowledge of maintenance practices, tools, and equipment
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Residential apartment community setting
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments, including all weather conditions
- Ability to be on feet for extended periods
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and climbing stairs/ladders
- Ability to push, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Good hand dexterity and ability to use tools effectively
- Ability to read and understand maintenance forms and safety labels
