Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer / Chief Engineer to join our Miami office. This role is ideal for a senior-level professional who is passionate about technical excellence in land development and water resources. The successful candidate will serve as a senior technical advisor, providing leadership and guidance on complex projects while mentoring engineering staff and supporting strategic growth.
What you'll do:
- Act as senior technical advisor on complex land development and water resources projects.
- Provide high-level design expertise, review, and technical oversight to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Lead and support project teams through planning, design, permitting, and delivery phases.
- Mentor and guide engineering staff, fostering professional development and technical growth.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.
- Serve as a trusted resource for technical problem-solving and decision-making within the firm.
- Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposals, presentations, and client relationships.
Ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida.
- Progressive engineering experience, with strong expertise in land development and water resources.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to easily build strong relationships.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects.
