Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently hiring a Full-Time (30 hours weekly) seasoned Surgical Technologist to become an integral member of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. ABOUT US:
Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility providing cost-effective outpatient services using modern, state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and caring environment. We are located on the campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scrub surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Assist with transferring patient to the operating room table; assist with positioning the patient, using appropriate equipment and anatomical principles to avoid patient injury
- Perform initial instrument, sharps and sponge counts with the circulator
- Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, equipment and rooms for surgical procedures
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedure
- Recognize safety hazards and initiates appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures
- Perform other related duties as a key member of the team supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center
- Two or more years of Surgical Tech (ST) experience
- Completion of an appropriate Surgical Tech program
- Surgical Tech certification or experience required
- Registered to practice in the State of Virginia
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- BLS certification is required
