Nebraska Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Technologist to join our team. We are a multi-specialty center specializing in Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Pediatric Dental, Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurology, and ENT.

We're looking for a dynamic, dedicated, and patient-focused professional who is committed to delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Position Summary

The Surgical Technologist plays a critical role in the operating room, supporting the surgical team by managing instrumentation and maintaining a sterile environment throughout procedures.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday – Friday 8- or 10-hour shifts between 5:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and apply principles of aseptic technique throughout all procedures
  • Perform scrub duties across a variety of surgical specialties with flexibility and adaptability
  • Assist with proper patient positioning to ensure safety and optimal surgical access
  • Demonstrate knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and proper care/handling
  • Understand surgical procedures, anesthesia basics, and potential complications
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations
  • Deliver age-appropriate care, considering patient-specific needs such as sensory or cognitive limitations
  • Collaborate with the circulating nurse to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available
  • Assist with case setup, instrumentation preparation, and supply management
  • Support operating room readiness, including cleaning, turnover, and restocking
  • Monitor inventory and identify supplies needing replenishment
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required
  • Current BLS certification required at time of hire
  • Surgical Technologist Certification required within six (6) months of hire
  • Previous surgical or scrub experience preferred
