Job description

Job Title: Surgical TechnologistJob Description

As a Surgical Technologist, you will ensure the cleanliness and preparedness of the surgical room at the start of each day and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures. You will be responsible for transporting specimens to the lab, assembling and protecting sterile fields, and performing sponge, needle, and instrument counts with team members. You will work closely with surgeons and other medical professionals to provide high-quality care in a variety of surgical settings, including neurology, orthopedics, and robotics.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure surgical room is clean at the start of the day by wiping down with alcohol.
  • Check for cleanliness throughout the day of all equipment and furniture.
  • Transport specimens to the lab.
  • Assemble, maintain, and protect sterile fields.
  • Open and set-up cases in a timely manner adhering to aseptic and sterile technique.
  • Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with other team members.

Work Environment

Work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with rotating weekends. The role involves working multiple cases per day in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Employees must be able to work efficiently under pressure.

This is a Contract position based out of San Bernardino, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
