Job description
The Plateau Travel Plaza is opening soon, and we are building a strong security leadership team to support our newly remodeled and expanded property, including our gaming floor, C-store, and restaurant.
We are currently seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee daily security operations and provide leadership, guidance, and support to security staff. This full-time position is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership role, communicates clearly, and can balance guest service with safety and policy enforcement.
What you'll do
- Supervise daily security operations across the property
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Security Officers
- Maintain a visible security presence and model professional conduct
- Respond to incidents, concerns, and emergencies in a calm and effective manner
- Ensure security procedures, policies, and reporting requirements are followed
- Communicate clearly with guests, team members, and leadership
- Complete and review incident reports and required documentation
- Identify safety concerns and assist with corrective actions
- Support a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment

The starting wage for a Security Supervisor is $22.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE), plus a shift differential for non-standard hours, ranging from an additional $0.50 to $2.50 per hour, depending on the shift worked.

A few qualities we're looking for:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military or similar
- Previous supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
- Ability to work independently and provide direction to others
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Availability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Oregon Driver's License
- Eligible for company vehicle insurance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license upon offer of hire
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check and pre-employment drug testing
- Must be 21 years of age or older
