Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator position is responsible for maintaining the stockroom inventory accuracy, support advance receiving functions (i.e., receipt exception resolution), and maintenance of supply PAR areas. This position is responsible for controlling the inventory levels of the stockroom, including requisitioning, issuing, crediting, and adjusting of medical supplies and other materials that are controlled through the department. Assumes responsibility and accountability for inventory accuracy. Prepares and maintains various records and reports. This position also performs periodic stockroom and PAR 5s audits and ensures stock levels are align with demand.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Conducts inventory control, receiving, coordinating outbound shipments and generates purchase requisitions to procure supplies in accordance with established HonorHealth policies. Coordinates all supply chain steps in collaboration with Purchasing and Sourcing to maintain stockroom inventory. Collaborates with peer coordinators across the network to mitigate backorders. Adjust reorder points and quantities as demand fluctuates.
  • Tracks supply usage patterns and make recommendations to department director regarding changes as to minimum and maximum quantity adjustments to keep stock levels optimal per usage and contain costs. Upon approval, makes appropriate changes to database.
    Maintains a fill rate of 99% on stock issues to departments (measured by dividing the number of stock-outs by total lines used.)
    Supports Nursing product inquiries and services. Coordinates Procure to Pay (P2P) receipt exceptions resolution.
    Executes project plans for par enhancements, conversions, and space optimization
  • Communicates and documents inventory returns. Makes appropriate adjustments to the database. Prepares returns to vendors due to mis-shipments, damage, manufacturer defects, etc. Identifies and accounts for obsolete, scrap and unused material; collects for disposal and coordinates donations. Serves as a resource to supply chain/materials distribution personnel. Ensures daily tasks are kept on track. Reports delays or issues to department director. Servers as a trainer to orient staff to work area.
  • Prepares for and takes part in all inventory counts, including periodic cycle counts, variance investigation and reconciliation with General Ledger balance. Shares in the responsibility for maintenance, organization and cleanliness of stockroom. Rotates stock in accordance with First In, First Out accounting rule. Ensures that all inventory control/stock control adjustments are accurately documented and processed daily. Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ensures that all items received on the dock, are appropriately received into the ERP, and delivered to the proper department. Ensures that each delivery is properly signed for by the requesting department and keeps that documentation for the prescribed timeframe. Serves as a resource to supply chain/materials distribution personnel. Reports delays or issues to department director.. Assures compliance with standards for infection control, OSHA, DNV, and Health Department Regulations

EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Associates or 2 years' work related experience Preferred

EXPERIENCE
  • logistics related operations, including warehousing, inventory control, or shipping and receiving.
