Job Description

The Food Runner delivers food from kitchen to restaurant guests and/or buffets in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with proper food handling and serving techniques, policies, procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management.

Other Duties:

Keep station neat and clean while serving. Clean station at end of shift.

Keep food transport carts clean and sanitary.

Use proper food handling and serving techniques when transporting food. Ensure timely food delivery to maintain optimal food temperature. Visually check each dish to ensure nothing is missed.

Maintain assigned buffets in clean, orderly fashion with sufficient food.

Assist restaurant staff with duties such as clearing and cleaning tables, filling water glasses, refilling drinks, returning dishes to the kitchen and proper placement of soiled linens and trash.
Complete assigned sidework and related cleaning duties.
