POSITION SUMMARY: 

  • The Senior Manager, Accounting of ERP reports to the Corporate Controller
  • Located in Mansfield, MA
  • Full-Time

  • ERP Implementation/JDE experience is preferred 

The Senior Manager, Accounting of ERP will oversee all aspects of the financial management system within the organization, with a focus on enterprise resource planning (ERP). This role requires extensive experience in accounting processes, coupled with a deep understanding of ERP systems and their integration into corporate finance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

ERP System Implementation and Customization:

  • Lead the implementation of ERP systems (JD Edwards), customizing modules to align with the organization's financial requirements. JDE experience preferred.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to configure ERP functionalities and workflows to optimize financial processes.

Financial Policy Development:

  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures in accordance with ERP best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, updating policies as necessary to mitigate risks.

Cross-Functional Integration:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate ERP systems with other business processes, including procurement, supply chain, and human resources.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment.
  • Communicate with senior management and key stakeholders to provide updates on ERP initiatives, project milestones, and financial system performance.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and strategic insights derived from ERP data analysis to support decision-making processes.

Data Management and Security:

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of financial data within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security.
  • Implement data governance practices and controls to safeguard sensitive financial information and prevent unauthorized access.

Performance Evaluation and Optimization:

  • Monitor the performance of ERP systems, conducting regular assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement system enhancements and optimizations to enhance efficiency, usability, and functionality.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in implementing and managing ERP systems (specific experience with JD Edwards preferred)
  •  A strong understanding of finance modules and accounting cycles.
  • Exceptional financial analysis and reporting skills, with a keen ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams, coupled with strong collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop innovative solutions to streamline financial processes and enhance system efficiency.
  • Forward-thinking approach to leverage ERP technology to support the organization's long-term financial goals and strategic objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, with a focus on ERP systems and financial management.
  • Proficiency in ERP software such as JD Edwards preferred, Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  • Proven track record of successful ERP implementations and optimizations in large-scale organizations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ERP-specific credentials are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to lead and develop teams effectively.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
