The business analyst is an individual who has the primary responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify and manager the needs of the project stakeholders and end users. Focus is on integrating systems to deliver maximum efficiency and business value, including considerations involving information flow and data requirements, as well as make strategic decisions about what functionality belongs inside what system. The business analyst serves as the conduit between business users and the IT team through which requirements flow.
