Job Description

Are you an experienced Healthcare Credentialer looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? Do you have experience physicians and other clinical staff for hospitals or managed care companies? Do you want the chance to advance your career by joining a rapidly growing company? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions - this is the position for you!

Hours for this Position: Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm

Pay Rate: $17/hr- $23/hr, based on experience

Insight of Daily Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing and processing a provider's credential file. 
  
• Process applications to obtain licenses and hospital privileges on behalf of new and existing providers as needed
• Generate and send verification letters needed for licensure
• Complete all necessary and appropriate forms for PSV and file in preparation of Credentialing Committee review 
• Prepare check requests for required verification fees 
• Maintain and update database with status and necessary data elements. 
• Document all tasks, phone calls, emails and other forms of communication during the credentialing and recredentialing process in the database 
• Conduct written and oral follow up to determine application status 
• Escalate all issues to the appropriate members of the management staff, region, and/or co-workers as necessary 
• Respond promptly to all questions, received via phone or email, regarding any license and/or privilege 
• Participate in the delegated credentialing audit process as needed

Qualifications

What We Look For:

• 2+ years of credentialing/re-credentialing experience
• Professional and effective oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel 
• Organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage priorities; meet critical deadlines
• As a Credentialing Specialist, you must be extremely organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Filing and scanning documents, email correspondence
