Collects and processes human samples, such as blood and urine specimens, for testing in the laboratory, according to specimen collection and processing protocols.

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required

Required Skills

Certifications:
Certification or Registry as a Phlebotomy Technician required
or, Obtained within six (6) months
or, Two (2) years medical office and phlebotomy experience in lieu of certification or registry

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Ability to perform routine venipuncture and skin puncture.
