Job SummaryAre you a seasoned Bridge Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Do you thrive on leading complex projects and mentoring the next generation of engineers? If so, TYLin wants you on our team! We're seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Bridge Sector in New Jersey. In this role, you'll lead critical bridge projects, from conceptual planning to construction and completion, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative solutions for local agencies and design-build clients. Whether managing key sub-tasks on large-scale bridge projects or leading mid-sized bridge projects as a Project Manager, your expertise will drive the success of our infrastructure work.Responsibilities & QualificationsAt TYLin, you'll not only deliver impactful projects, you'll mentor junior engineers, collaborate across disciplines, and help shape the future of bridge design in the Northeast.
What You'll Do:
Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures. Experience with long span bridges is an asset.
Advanced structural engineering and analysis capabilities, including ability to perform seismic analysis.
Design of concrete and steel bridge structures.
Develop designs, contract plans and specifications.
Coordinate with and direct CAD production activities for drawing production.
Conduct quality control activities for independent review and checking of structural designs.
Interface with civil engineers for development of complete project plans and specifications.
Develop engineering studies, reports and documentation.
Oversee and review calculations and designs performed by engineers.
Other assignments as needed.
What You'll Need:
Professional Engineering License (PE) in NJ, NY or PA.
Bachelor's degree in civil / structural engineering required. Master's degree preferred.
Must have at least 7+ years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures. Project management experience will be plus.
Ability to perform advanced structural analysis and designs. Experience in CSI Bridge is a plus.
Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT, PennDOT and NJTA design and standards preferred.
Proficient in leading technical aspects of bridge projects, writing reports, preparing drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations.
Must possess excellent technical and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
