Job description

Material Handler
As an Associate Material Handler you will be responsible for assisting with the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products for a facility. Under direct supervision, performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Hourly Range: $14.50 - $19.50

Your Challenge:
  • Assists in the receipt, inspection, and storage of materials, parts and products. Ensures that all materials are properly labeled, packaged, and stored in designated areas. (20%)
  • Supports the inventory management process by counting and verifying materials, parts and products. Identifies and reports and discrepancies or damages. (20%)
  • Assists with daily warehouse operations, including picking and packing materials, preparing shipments and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Contacts carriers to pick up freight. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. (20%)
  • Performs a variety of kitting and order functions. Recommends process improvements to reduce future discrepancies. Assists with cycle count inventory. (20%)
  • Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. (20%)

  • Basic knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
