Job description

What Data Analytics contributes to Cardinal Health:
The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.
Data Analytics applies business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend and communicate timely, accurate, relevant and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives.

  • Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks
  • Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity Identified possible solutions to a variety technical problems and takes action to resolve
  • Applies judgment within defined parameters
  • Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects
  • Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy

Responsibilities
  • Hands-on experience with Python scripting for data engineering and automation preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Airflow, UC4, AutoSys, or Control-M preferred.
  • Experience with AI/ML-driven data platforms, including feature engineering and data pipelines supporting analytics or machine learning workloads preferred.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI), use cases, or integrations (e.g., leveraging data platforms for AI-driven insights or automation) preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms such as GCP BigQuery, Databricks preferred.
  • Expertise in database design, data modeling, and performance optimization preferred.
  • Expert-level experience developing database objects including SQL, stored procedures, views, partitioning, indexing, and query optimization preferred.
  • Experience building semantic layers for analytics consumption using tools such as AtScale and/or LookML preferred.
  • Experience working on large-scale, business-critical data platforms preferred.
  • Experience leading or mentoring small development teams preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices, including tools such as GitHub, Airflow, and pipeline automation preferred.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years experience in related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred
  • Experience with innovative analytical insights
  • Business Requirements documentation experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders preferred.

Anticipated salary range: $68,500 - $88,020
